You might be very good at selling, but even then, you will never have a 100% close rate. However, if you are consistently losing deals, then there is a reason.

Once the problem is diagnosed, you will be able to improve the process and get better results.

YOU ARE TRYING TO SELL TO EVERBODY

A good sales line is about the quality and not the quantity. If the customers are not purchasing from you, then check the plan. Are you targeting them properly?

Or are you trying to sell everything to everyone just because they have shown some interest?

It is better to narrow down the focus on the target customers. This will make you successful. You will be able to devote more time to each customer. You will also be able to make better outreach programs.

YOU ARE DRIVING YOUR CUSTOMERS AWAY

People do not answer calls that they get from unknown numbers. If the marketers use email as a tool for spamming, then it will go unanswered. Rather use the emails as a means of connecting with the target customers. Do not pester the customers. Become a consultant for the customers rather than a salesperson. Learn more about the target customers, and in that way, you will be able to connect with them more. This will increase buying prospects.

YOU ARE NOT SURFACING OBJECTIONS

Most marketers feel that digging for objections is very scary. Objections exist, and one will have to understand them and accept them. It is better to get them resolved at the beginning and middle stages when the minds of the buyer are open about your product or service. To know why the customer is not purchasing from you, ask yourself about the possible reason for this behavior. Discuss the pros and cons of the product. Ask for their dislikes or concerns regarding the product. Then you will understand why they are not buying the product.

YOU ARE NOT CREATING AN URGENCY

The product that you are promoting is very important to you. But for a target customer, this is another product trying to catch their attention. They might not want to buy the product now. If they think to think of buying the product later, there are fewer chances of sealing the deal. If such is the situation, then think of reasons why your product will better the lives of the customer by using it.

YOU ARE NOT HELPING THEM TO FEEL SAFE

No consumer will want to invest their money in something that they are not 100 percent sure about. This has led to the end of many deals. Many consumers feel that they might invest in your product and but in the end, what will happen if they do not get the desired results from it. As a result of this, they feel insecure. Part of the job of a marketer is to make the consumers feel confident and comfortable about the investment and the associated risks.

One can make them confident by connecting them with older clients, referring to new clients, sharing positive testimonials online, and highlighting the awards they have got, and so on.
